IIPM (THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF PLANNING & MANAGEMENT, NEW DELHI) REWARDS MAOIST PATRONISERS AND MAOIST INTELLECTUALS

In order to encourage, enthuse and embolden the Maoist butchers and their unprecedented brutal violence, Mamata Banerjee and her team of ‘pseudo’ intellectuals, the so-called educational institution under the name and style the “Indian Institute of Planning & Management, New Delhi” has announced a reward of Rs. 5,00,000 each to Mamata Banerjee, Painter Subhaprasanna, Pradip Basu, Mahasweta Devi, Sunanda Sanyal and Medha Patkar for the ‘so-called’ salvage of democracy in West Bengal from the clutches of the Stalinist Party the CPI (M).

This private politically motivated so-called management educational institution has forgotten to accomplish the following tasks also.

· It should have also rewarded publicly Ganapati and Kishenji, topmost Maoist leaders who are organizing brutal murders of CPI (M) leaders, cadres and supporters in West Bengal every day. The management institute should not forget that the Maoist butchers and rapists had also worked sincerely with all force and resources side by side of Mamata Banerjee and her ‘pseudo’ intellectuals for the defeat of the CPI (M) in the last parliamentary elections.

· It is not understood why Gopal Krishna Gandhi, “Friend, Philosopher and Guide” of Mamata Banerjee and her rainbow alliance of Maoist-TMC-Congress-SUCI, has been ignored by IIPM. If he had been awarded, his unprecedented service to the cause of the Maoists and Mamata Banerjee would have been on record.

· IIPM has also forgotten to take into account the blind anti-Leftist and anti-democratic role of Joy Goswami, Aparna Sen, Bratya Basu, Jogen Chowdhury, Arpita Ghosh, Shaoli Mitra, Bibhas Chakraborty and other pseudo intellectuals.

· It is not also understood why they have left out leaders of Muslim and Hindu fundamentalist leaders who had also played a vital role in the defeat of the CPI (M).

· The institute have also done injustice to a few print media such as “Ananda Bazaar Patrika”, “Dainik Bartaman”, “The Statesman”, and “Pratidin” that are indulged in slanderous campaign, untruthfulness, derogatory imputations, inaccuracy, partiality, unfairness, indecency, fraudulency, deception, dishonesty, distortion of fact, manufacture and concoction of false & fake news against the CPI (M).

· The announcement of rewards proves that the IIPM is not only an educational institution. It is more than that. The mask of IIPM being a purely political organization working in the garb of an educational institution has slipped off. It is also in fact engaged in one-sided blind anti-Leftist politics in the country. So, it should get itself registered immediately as a political organization instead of engaging in hypocrisy, fraudulency and cheating. It is not understood why this political organization works in the guise of an educational institution. It should throw off the mask of an educational institution and land in direct politics in the interest of ethics and honesty.

· This institute earns crores and crores of rupees in the form of capitation fee without any mercy. Instead of rewarding politically motivated individuals, it should set up schools, colleges, hospitals and other public utility infrastructures in areas predominantly inhabited by tribals and weaker sections of the society, if it is really interested in their upward improvement. It should also provide more than 50% of seats for them free of cost, if it is really interested in their welfare.

· A Congress leader has very correctly commented recently during a panel discussion in a TV channel that it needs more than crores to purchase an MP in New Delhi whereas the pseudo intellectuals can be purchased easily by way of throwing few coins at them. The way in which IIPM rewarded the intellectuals corroborates the same. It is also beyond doubt this so-called educational institution finances these anti-Leftist politicians, pseudo intellectuals, Maoists and terrorists.

PRIME MINISTER MISLED BY MAMATA BANERJEE WITH FABRICATED LIST OF MURDERED MAOIST-TMC WORKERS IN WEST BENGAL

The list of murdered TMC workers as submitted to the Prime Minister by Mamata Banerjee has exposed again her fraudulency and deception. Here is one glaring example to prove her hypocrisy.

The name of a 12-year-old girl Rupa Biswas has been mentioned at serial number 43 of the list. At the time of her death she stayed at Bahirgachi-Bhattacharjee Para of Dharmada area under Nakashipara Police Station of Nadia district. On 26th July 2009 she was murdered after rape. The local Maoist-TMC leader Shyamal Bhattacharjee along with Sanjib Biswas, Madhukul Mondal and Tapai Ghosh are behind the bars for rape and murder on the basis of an FIR No. 339 under IPC-302/201/120-B lodged with Nakashipara Police Station on 29th July 2009 by her parents. Another TMC leader Pratap Sarkar is still absconding.

Maoist-TMC MP Tapas Paul himself had declared immediately after the recovery of the dead body of the victim that he would beat to death the culprits. When the fact about rape and murder by Maoist-TMC goons came to light even before their arrest, he thought it better to keep mum.

In this connection, it would not be out of place to mention that the father of the girl Subodh Biswas is a mere rickshaw puller.

It is most unfortunate that the name of a minor girl who was raped and murdered by TMC leaders has also found place in the list of Mamata Banerjee.

It is also most unfortunate and regrettable that the so-called champions of tribals, downtrodden and women Mahasweta Devi, Medha Patkar and Arundhati Roy are shamelessly silent on the rape and murder of Rupa Biswas. But they had resorted to false and malicious propaganda about alleged rape and murder of hundreds of women and minor girls in Nandigram without proving even a single case.

The duplicity of Mamata Banerjee and her pseudo intellectuals should be exposed thoroughly in the interest of the nation.

RAILWAY MINISTER SUBMITS MANUFACTURED LIST OF MURDERED TMC WORKERS TO THE PRIME MINISTER

The list of murdered TMC workers submitted to the prime Minister by Mamata Banerjee is proving to be false and fabricated with the disclosure of the following facts.

· At serial number 48 she has mentioned the name of Amirul Islam of Bhangar. He was actually murdered by Ajijul Islam@ Khude on 23-08-2009. Ajijul Islam is the brother of Arabul Islam, TMC MLA. He is now on the run to avoid arrest.

· Similarly, at serial number 73, the name of Shankar Biswas of Belegachi of Baruipur in 24, Parganas (S) has been mentioned. The fact of the matter is that Late Biswas was a hardcore CPI (M) worker. Maoist-TMC goons murdered him on 26-10-2009. A condolence meeting was organised at Baruipur by CPI (M) to mourn his death on 30-10-2009. Shibdas Bhattacharjee, Sujan Chakraborty, ex. M.P. and other CPI (M) leaders addressed the meeting.

· The name of Joydeb Bag of Baruipur is in the list. He was reportedly murdered after parliamentary elections. But there was no existence of such person. It is purely a fake name.

· Similarly, at serial number 71 the name of Shyamal Hazari Bermajur area of Sandeshkhali in North 24, Parganas has been shown as murdered on 26-10-2009. But there is no trace of any such person. It is purely a fabricated name.

· Again, the name of Najir Ali of Kashpukur, Bhangar in South 24, Parganas remains at serial number 23 of the list. But this person is also untraceable.

· Maoist-TMC goons Rahul Adhikari and Sambhu Adhikari had murdered Abhijit Saha of Madhyamgram on 27-09-2009 over a petty affair. But the name of Abhijit Saha has been mentioned as TMC worker.

· Yasin Ali, a baby of 2 and ½ years, of Mayureswar in Birbhum district expired due to dehydration. The name of this baby is also mentioned as a murdered TMC worker.

· Ashok Das of village Charkol of Nanur in Birbhum district was purely an antisocial. He had murdered another TMC antisocial named Apai during the 1st quarter of July 2009. In retaliation, on 21-07-2009 the associates of Apai murdered Ashok Das at Labhpur, which is situated at a distance of about 40 kilometers from Nanur.

· Mira Lasin of Nandigram is mentioned in the list. But no persona in such name is traceable at Nandigram.

· The list contains the name of Gobinda Dawn of Lalgarh. He is shown as not traceable from 20-06-2009. But the fact is that Gobinda Dawn is a Maoist squad member. He is well trained in arms and ammunitions. The operation of joint forces at Lalgarh started on and from 18th June 2009. Gobinda Dawn has gone underground since then to avoid police arrest.

MAOIST-TMC GOONS BUTCHER CPI (M) WORKER

The Maoist-TMC goons have murdered brutally Sanatan Pratihar of village Pingboni in Lalgarh at night of 06-12-2009. On the same day they torched the house of Panchanan Mahato, Secretary, CPI (M), Bhursa Branch. Besides, these goons have injured seriously a shopkeeper Dimple Roy at Ramgarh Bazar by firing at him. He has been admitted to Medinipur Medical Hospital and College.

MAOIST-TMC SLAUGHTERERS BEHEAD 2 CPI (M) LEADERS IN MOYNA BLOCK OF EAST MIDNAPUR IN WEST BENGAL

2 CPI (M) workers Bholanath Khutia and Gurupada Mondal of village Baruna under Moyna Block of East Midnapur have been beheaded by Maoist-TMC-Congress-SUCI goons on 05-12-2009 for raising their voice against the corruption of TMC controlled Bagcha Gram Panchayat. Bholanath Khutia was the Upa Pradhan of this Gram Panchayat. The beheaded bodies of both these workers have been found at a distance of about 40 KM from their residence.

MURDERED FIROJ KHAN OF MAMATA BANERJEE RETURNS ALIVE

During the Nandigram episode in 2007, the rainbow alliance of Maoists-Mamata Banerjee-Congress-SUCI, the perverted spineless sold out ‘pseudo’ intellectuals, human rights activists and politically motivated media had made a slanderous propaganda throughout the country and abroad that both the sisters were raped and murdered by the cadres of the CPI (M). Five CPI (M) cadres were put behind the bars for a long time. But the fact of the matter was that both the sisters were kept hidden in the house of TMC worker Firoj Khan at Namkhana in 24, Parganas (South). Namkhana is situated at a distance of more than 50 kilometers from Nandigram. Both the sisters were later recovered alive from the house of Firoj Khan and the allegation against the CPI (M) proved to be false and fabricated.

It is true that people have very short memory. They must have, in the meantime, forgotten Ansura Bibi and Mansura Bibi of Nandigram.

The dirty and vicious politics of the rainbow alliance and their so-called intellectuals did not stop here. They had also propagated that not only hundreds of women were raped and murdered but also the CPI (M) workers butchered thousands of children and babies. But these liars and perverts following the footsteps of Hitler and Goebbels have not yet proved a single case of rape or butchering. Their one and sole aim was go enable Mamata Banerjee to gain political dividends at any cost and anyhow.

This time, Firoj Khan himself went into hiding in the house of Rashid Ali Khan at Ganesh Nagar under Kakdwip P.S. in 24, Parganas (South). The TMC workers lodged an FIR with the Namkhana Police Station alleging that the CPI (M) workers had murdered Firoj Khan and disposed of his dead body. 37 CPI (M) workers were implicated in this false case. But on 5th December 2009 the people of Ganesh Nagar recovered him alive from the house of Rashid Khan and handed over to police.

The name of this Firoj Khan is also included in the list of so-called murdered TMC workers, which was submitted to the Prime Minister by Mamata Banerjee.
The entire politics of Mamata Banerjee and her trusted associates in fact remain standing on fraudulency, dishonesty and deception.

Kolkata, 04-12-2009: Maoists butchers shot dead three CPI (M) supporters while a policeman was injured in a landmine explosion in West Midnapore district today on the fourth day of the bandh called by the Peoples Committee against Police Atrocities (PCPA).

The three, of which two were members of the CPI(M)-backed Gana Protirodh Committee, were taken away last night by suspected Maoists and their bodies with bullet marks were found bound hand and foot this morning in Belpahari area, sources said.

Two of them, Nemai Singh and Phoni Singh, of Simulpal village, were brothers who were actively associated with the Committee, they said. They had been warned earlier by Maoists to desist from organising meetings and rallies against the Maoist-backed PCPA.

Two years ago, Maoists had blown up a van killing a doctor, a nurse and their driver at the same village. Meanwhile, a policeman was injured in a landmine blast at Ramgarh today, they said.

The director general of police Bhupinder Singh had yesterday said that 70 to 75 people had been killed in the district since the tribal agitation began a year ago.

Interview with Prakash Karat, general secretary, CPI(M)

PRAKASH KARAT SAYS the Maoists will end up helping the state.

AS a party based on the Marxist-Leninist ideology, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has serious differences in theory and practice with the Maoist groups in the country. In an interview to Frontline, party general secretary Prakash Karat explained why the tactics of the Maoist groups will never help solve the problem of poverty. Excerpts:

Q: How does the CPI(M) assess the spurt of Maoist activity? Politically, how do you view the approach of the Maoist groups?

KARAT: The Maoists claim to be a revolutionary force. But they are far from being an organisation based on a Marxist outlook. Though they call themselves a communist party, their ideology and practice go against the basic principles of Marxism and what a communist party should be. Their programme and practice are flawed; they do not even recognise the realities. They harp on India being still a semi-colonial country; their politics is based on the gun and the use of violence, which essentially disrupts the working class movement and mass mobilisation. By indulging in senseless violence mainly directed at its political opponents, the Maoists end up helping the state to come down heavily on the people they claim to champion.

Q: The Left Front government in West Bengal has been at the receiving end of such violence for some time now. How has the character of such activities changed over the years?

KARAT: The Maoists have been trying to organise and be active in West Bengal for quite some time now. They have failed to acquire a mass base. Where they are active is mainly in the border districts of Paschim Medinipur, Purulia and Bankura, all bordering Jharkhand. Here we have seen how, in the past few months, they have systematically targeted the cadre and supporters of the CPI(M). Though they claim to have popular support, the Maoists are not willing to put it to the test. The CPI(M), which has a large mass base among the tribal people, is opposed to the disruptive politics and violence of the Maoists. That is why they are indulging in targeted assassinations and killings. Some of the people they have killed have been executed in a brutal fashion, in front of their family members. How can the killing of CPI(M) workers, most of them poor tribal people, be considered a revolutionary activity by any standard? It is now well known that the Maoists collaborated with the Trinamool Congress to fight the CPI(M) and the Left Front. This is a feature of the Maoists elsewhere too. Their squads have no hesitation in backing one bourgeois party or the other. It can be seen in Bihar and in other States too. Most of the people killed by the Maoists, apart from policemen, are poor peasants, agricultural workers or the rural poor.

Q: There has been a palpable change in the Central government’s approach to these Maoist groups. It now views them as a serious threat. At the Chief Ministers’ conference on internal security in Kolkata recently, Home Minister P. Chidambaram described naxalites as the biggest threat to internal security. Do you think that just stepping up police and other paramilitary support is enough to quell the activities of these groups?

KARAT: As far as the CPI(M) is concerned, we think that the Maoists have to be fought and countered politically and ideologically. Wherever they are active and try to mobilise the tribal people and poorer sections, they must be combated politically. When they indulge in violence and terrorising of political opponents, administrative steps have to be taken to curb them. It is not possible to deal with them only politically when they are resorting to large-scale killing. In Lalgarh alone, in the past few months, more than 60 CPI(M) supporters were killed by the Maoists.

The Central government has announced it will deploy more paramilitary forces in some of the Maoist-affected States. This alone is not sufficient. In those areas, the government must embark upon socio-economic development; there have to be immediate measures to execute land reforms and provide basic services to the people. Without a comprehensive approach that deals with people’s problems in backward and tribal areas, the Maoist threat cannot be contained. The government should identify such areas and plan concrete measures, which is not being done sufficiently at present.

The Maoists have to understand that they won’t be able to accomplish anything by their sectarian and adventurous approach of resorting to arms and violence. They should learn from the experience of the Maoist party in Nepal. Building a mass movement on a political platform and relying on the people for political change can be the only correct perspective.

Q: There have been expressions of support for the Maoist cause, sporadically of course, from a section of the intelligentsia. It confers a certain degree of legitimacy to the Maoist approach and acceptance of their tactics.

KARAT: Some intellectuals and civil liberties organisations refuse to see the enormous damage being done by the Maoists by their senseless and indiscriminate violence. For some of these intellectuals, it seems as if they do not want to get into the hard work and grind of building a genuine mass movement but take vicarious satisfaction in supporting such pseudo-revolutionary activities.

Poverty can never be eliminated by such violent tactics as it only disrupts the possibility of developing a powerful and united mass struggle against exploitation and the iniquitous order. By just targeting a few so-called enemies of the people, one cannot bring about any change in the system of injustice existing today.
